ANC MP FEZEKA LOLIWE LOSES LIFE IN A CAR CRUSH, FEZEKA LOLIWE DIES IN CAR CRUSH
African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament, Fezeka Loliwe has died in a fatal car accident which took place in Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape on Monday.
In a statement ANC Chief Whip, Jackson Mthembu, expressed shock and extended his condolences to her family, friends and fellow comrades.
Loliwe died in a car accident while on her way from parliamentary Constituency Office in Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape.
“Comrade Loliwe was a dedicated public representative who joined parliament in 2014. She served as the Chairperson of the porfolio committee (PC) on Labour and had previously served as the ANC Whip for the PC on Labour.
She formed part of the team who conducted the Parliamentary Inquiry into the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
Loliwe was also the Whip of our ANC Caucus Disciplinary Committee (CDC).
Her untimely departure leaves a deep void within structures of the ANC Caucus and Parliament as a whole. The people of South Africa have truly been robbed of one of the most dedicated public representatives,” the statement read.
Captain Mali Govender, spokesperson of the Police however said the police were investigating a case of culpable homicide.
